Civil Surgeon inspects OCHRI to review emergency healthcare readiness for VVIP’s

Nagpur based Orange City Hospital & Research Institute that has been recently ranked 1st in city as per The Week- Nielsen National survey is empanelled by more than 60 major organisations of central India for comprehensive health care of their beneficiaries. Stringent review inspections by various committees and external agencies are held to re-endorse the hospital.

OCHRI has been traditionally associated with government to render emergency room and healthcare readiness for Z plus security covered VVIPs visiting Nagpur. Highlighting this accomplishment; Dr. Anup Marar- OCHRI Director stated that this practise has been on since more than a decade wherein Emergency room readiness is expected by OCHRI and we thank government authorities for placing so much trust on OCHRI. Team OCHRI is honoured to render this a social gesture.

It is added that during tragic Nikita Pharmaceuticals industrial blast; Maharashtra Government led by Hon’bles Chief Minister, Guardian Minister & Labour Minister had unanimously taken the decision of shifting all 19 burn victims from Indira Gandhi Government Medical College to OCHRI.

Recently Dr. Hemant Nimbalkar, District Civil Surgeon- Nagpur carried out inspection to review the arrangements done for Z plus covered VVIP’s at OCHRI. He appreciated the proactive approach shown and social activities undertaken by OCHRI.

During this visit he inspected the rooms and Critical Care complex and interacted with Dr. Vidya Nair, Director- Ravi Nair Hospitals Private Limited, Dr. Anup Marar- OCHRI Director, Dr. Ashish Shukla, Chest Physician & Section Coordinator- OCHRI CCU Complex and recollected his earlier visits and development seen since then at OCHRI.

It is added that OCHRI boasts of highest number of Multi-speciality Critical Care beds in a private set-up at Nagpur with 40 CCU beds spread over 4 Critical Care Units. OCHRI CCU complex is served by round the clock qualified stationed Intensivists which is very crucial in management of serious patients.

At OCHRI; Dr. Ashish Shukla heads a team of Intensivists namely Dr. Neha Agarwal, Dr. Santosh Gadge, Dr. Roshan Jawdekar, Dr. Vina Bang, Dr. Akshay Burlawar and Dr. Shivam Puniyani to render round the clock stationed Critical care cover. Dr.Milind Pande leads OCHRI’s Central Laboratory & Dr.Nishikant Lokhande leads a team of Radiologists namely Dr. Rima Saoji, Dr.Prashant Shende and Dr.Nilesh Aswar to render 24×7 diagnostic cover while Dr.Smita Harkare, Dr.Neeta Deshpande, Dr.Anita Pande and Dr.Sweety Pasari provide 24×7 Anaesthesia services in OCHRI’s state of art Operation Theatre Complex. Dr.Noorul Ameen heads a team of round the clock Casualty Medical Officer at OCHRI Emergency complex.

Shri. Sunil Sure, OCHRI General Manager assisted by Smt.Manjiri Damle successfully coordinated the itinerary during this inspection.
